About Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) Exam

The Indo-Tibetan Border Police is the border patrol organization of India. Each year the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) conducts a national level exam to hire talented and qualified individuals at different posts available with the security force of India. Some of the posts for which the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) recruits qualified and talented individuals include general duty and constable among various trades.

Candidates who are willing to apply for these different positions available with the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) must know the eligibility criteria and other requirements in detail. Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) Exam

  1. Educational Qualification – You must have cleared matriculation or 10 + 2 from one of the many recognized institutes in India.
  2. Nationality – You must be a citizen of India and must also be a permanent resident of India.
  3. Age Limit – You must be in the age group of 18 to 23 years to become eligible for the Assam Rifles Exam.

In the case of SC, and ST candidates, the upper age limit has a relaxation of 5 years and the OBC candidates have a relaxation of 3 years. These are the three eligibility criteria that you are required to fulfill to appear for the Indo-Tibetan Border Police exam.

Selection Process

The selection process of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police includes a number of different steps. These various stages of the selection process of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police exam include physical standard test, physical efficiency test, written test, trade test, medical test, and merit list. These are the different stages that the candidate is required to undergo to join Indo-Tibetan Border Police. Being said that, only if your name appears on the merit list, then you can join Indo-Tibetan Border Police in your chosen trade with the border patrol security force.

In the first phase of the selection process, the candidates are required to undergo a physical standard test and physical efficiency test. Once you clear the physical standard test and physical efficiency test, then you can appear for the written test conducted by the Indo-Tibetan Border Police. However, if you do not clear the physical standard test and physical efficiency test, then you cannot appear for the written test.
