UPSC – Union Public Service Commission

Union Public Service Commission is the executive branch of the Indian Government and is primarily concerned with the implementation of regulations, rules, and the programs laid out by the Indian legislature. 1. You must be a graduate from a recognized university in India in any discipline.
2. Even Final Year students are eligible to take the Civil Services Exam.

1. You must be at least 21 years of age and not more than 30 years at the time of taking the examination.
2. There is maximum relaxation of 3 years for OBC and 5 years relaxation for SC and ST candidates.

Number of Attempts

1. General category candidates can take the exam up to 4 times.
2. OBC category candidates can take the exam up to 7 times.
3. SC and ST category candidates can take the exam as many times as required.

If you clear the prelims exam and the main exam, you are then required to appear for the third stage of the exam which is the personality test.

The syllabus for Civil Services Examination includes current events, history of India, geography, Indian polity and governance, general science, logical reasoning, analytical ability, comprehension among others.

2. Engineering Services Examination

Engineering Services Examination is one of the many different exams conducted by the Union Public Service Commission every year. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the Engineering Service Examination to meet the technical and managerial functions of the Government of India.

3. Indian Forest Services Examination

Indian Forest Services Examination is another one of the many different exams conducted by the Union Public Service Commission every year. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the Indian Forest Services Examination to recruit candidates for the Forest Services of India.

1. General category candidates can take the exam up to 7 times.
2. OBC category candidates can take the exam up to 9 times.
3. SC and ST category candidates can take the exam as many times as required.

The syllabus for Indian Forest Services Examination includes general English, general knowledge, agriculture, agriculture husbandry, and veterinary science.

4. Special Class Railway Apprentices Examination

Special Class Railway Apprentices Examination is another one of the many different exams conducted by the Union Public Service Commission every year. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the Special Class Railway Apprentices Exam for the recruitment of Special Class Apprentices into the Indian Railways Institute of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering for a bachelor course in Mechanical Engineering.

Being said that, the recruitment for the Special Class Railway Apprentices Exam is done in two stages. The written exam is followed by a personal interview. A rigorous selection process is carried out following which the selected candidates are given training. 1. You must have passed the intermediate exam with chemistry, physics, and mathematics from a recognized university in India.

1. You must be in the age range of 17 to 21 years to appear for the SCRA exam.

5. Combined Defense Services Exam

The Combined Defense Services Exam is another one of the many different exams conducted by the Union Public Service Commission every year. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the Combined Defense Services Exam to recruit eligible candidates for different Armed Forces such as the Indian Navy, Indian Army, and Indian Air Forces.

The syllabus for the Combined Defense Services Examination includes current events, geography, Indian politics and governance, social development, economic, general issues, and general knowledge among others.

6. National Defense Academy and Naval Academy Examination

National Defense Academy and Naval Academy Examination are another one of the many different exams conducted by the Union Public Service Commission every year. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the National Defense Academy and Naval Academy Exam to induct officers in the Indian Armed Forces including the Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, and Indian Army.

The National Defense Academy and Naval Academy Examination is conducted twice a year by the UPSC. Being said that, the cadets of three armed forces will receive the training together initially in the academy. After that, the cadets receive training from their respective armed forces. This exam is also conducted in a three-stage manner, wherein the written test is followed by the personal interview and medical examination.

1. For Indian Air Force – You must have passed class 12^th in the pattern of 10 + 2 with physics and mathematics as the main subject.
2. For Indian Navy – You must have passed class 12^th in the pattern of 10 + 2 with physics and mathematics as the main subject.
3. For the Indian Army – You must have passed class 12^th in the pattern of 10 + 2.

Age

1. The candidates should have an age in the range of 16.5 to 19.5 while appearing for the exam.

7. Combined Medical Services Examination

Combined Medical Services Examination is another one of the many different exams conducted by the Union Public Service Commission every year. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the Combined Medical Services Exam to recruit candidates into various services such as the Indian Railways, Indian Ordinance Factories Services, and others, functioning as Medical Officers under the Indian Government.

Being said that, the Combined Medical Services Exam is conducted only once a year and usually takes place in the month of January. The candidates are recruited on the basis of a written test which is followed by a personal interview. Having said that, the candidate has to be a qualified doctor.

8. Combined Geo-Scientist and Geologist Examination

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the Combined Geo-Scientist and Geologist Exam to recruit eligible candidates into the Geological Survey of India, Ministry of Water, and Ministry of Mines as geologists, chemists, and geophysicists.

10. Indian Economic Service and Indian Statistical Service Examination

Indian Economic Service and Indian Statistical Service Examination is another one of the many different exams conducted by the Union Public Service Commission every year. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the Indian Economic Service and Indian Statistical Service Examination for recruiting for different statistical posts for different departments of the Indian Government.

11. Central Armed Police Forces Examination
